If someone works a 1099 job will that person lose their unemployment? does it show a start date on the 1099?

Do you have to report any IC jobs to the unemployment office since it is a 1099?

You are supposed to. In Massachusetts, businesses are supposed to report to the Department of Labor and Dept of Revenue anytime they hire new employees AND independent contractors so they can attach any payments for back child support.

For unemployment, failure to report 1099 income when earned is called fraud.

Yes, an IC job must be reported just like any other job like a W-2 job.
