Resume building summer job for an Elementary Education major?

I am currently a freshman in college and I’m majoring in Elementary Education. I’m trying to find a summer job, for the money of course, but would like it to pertain to my major. I’ve heard that summer camps are pretty good on the resume building front but what other options are there? Thanks in advance for your help.

Tutoring? Working at museums geared towards kids? Babysitting?

Anything that shows you have an interest in working with children is good. You might also want to consider working at a local tutoring center like Sylvan or KUMON or working at a university-run daycare (many local collges and universities run preschool programs). Good luck to you – I worked at a daycare every summer I was in college and had no problem finding a teaching job.
