Can I get unemployment from a part time job?

I started a seasonal job a few weeks ago then broke my hip at home. Can, should, I apply for unemployment benefits while I’m on crutches? If so, where do I start?

    You had to work for 6 weeks and they had to lay you off.
    Also, you are supposed to be looking for work, which you can’t do.

    So, no, I don’t think so. You would not qualify for temporary disability either, as you were not working full time at the job for a year.
