How long do you have to have worked in California before being eligible for get unemployment after job-loss?

I worked for a company for 2 months, then was terminated due to downsizing. I am actively looking for work, but I haven’t been able to find any for some time. Thank you to anyone who is nice enough to answer seriously.

  1. Obamavenger says:

You can file through another state where you worked. Your benefits are based on a year’s worth of earnings ending two quarters ago.

you can apply for unemployment anytime you are out of a job
if you did not work in Calif. during the test period but worked in another state, and qualify, Calif. will get your unemployment from that state to pay you, if you qualify
I think the period is about the end of Nov. for 12 weeks forward for eligibility
