Why do so many singles ads sound like job resumes or cirriculum vitae these days?

Why do so many contemporary personal ads focus on people’s jobs and education instead of the person themselves? I’m more interested in knowing WHO someone is than what they DO for a living. I believe WHO someone is and what they DO for a living are two separate things, the majority of the time.

some people define themselves with their jobs instead of the other way around. Not me, I only work for the paycheck & my loyalty can be bought by the highest bidder!
I agree with you to a certain extent, but some people are interested in people that have got a firm career in place as it shows dedication and drive, and ability, it’s not always about money, for example, my hubby is a chef, and chefs are notoriously badly paid, but I find his drive and ambition and determination to succeed very sexy.
Come on who are we kidding? Judgement/ comparison is human’s basic instinct.
1. doctor/ lorry drive
2. plump/ fit
3. attractive/ average?
I can go on….
even if you claim that you’re interested in knowing who it is… aren’t you again judging what they are like, whether they are nice/educated/ how he/ she interact with your friends.. family…
No matter what ones says about his/her self, criticism is inevitable because only friendship includes tolerance, looking for love is so focused on a narrow goal. Everyone has so many facits that no answer can fully disclose the full package, so CV is kind of fruitless.
Personally I wish more single events existed that were easier to locate. I think personal interact says more than a CV or a single picture that only captures a split second that lacks precious expressions that make us special.
