Just applying for a job and curious what a cover letter entails and if it can make a difference/is important? Thanks!

Bascially in the first paragraph which is only one or wo sentences you say who your are and what job your applying for. Second paragraph your describe yourself, like what you are good at, what you want to gain from the job and wy they should choose you. In the last paragraph (again very tiny) you just say thankyou blah blah blah and then say again what job your applying for and be sure to include name, address, phone number in the top right hand corner. Hope you get what ever job you are applying too :)
