I’m applying through my college’s online job listing website and there is an option to include a cover letter with submitted documents. Do you think a cover letter would be necessary for this kind of position?

I am confused about whether to address the job duties or requirements first. For example, say the job duties are coloring the walls, and the requirement is a box of Crayola crayons. What should I put first, my experience in coloring walls or the specs of my box of crayons?

I am applying at a restaurant as a bus girl.
I recently turned fifteen.

I’m applying for a clinical secretary course (followed by a job) and it requires a letter of recommendation and a cover letter.. so I would like to write a really good one. I haven’t written a paper in a few years since Ive been out of school. A little help would be greatly appreciated!

I read my cover letter and it’s too straightforward and almost dull. It really lacks that special spark and I’m having trouble communicating my enthusiasm for the job. So what are some phrases I can add to my cover letter to show employers I’m excited about a job? (especially phrases in the introduction part of my cover letter).

It still has to sound professional though…so nothing too crazy, please.

How do I apply for a job that is not advertised? There are places I would like to work at and do reception, clerical or other front/ menial jobs. How do I say in my cover letter? I am interested in …work? or I am interested in a …. position?
