How to apply for an unadvertised job (in cover letter)?

How do I apply for a job that is not advertised? There are places I would like to work at and do reception, clerical or other front/ menial jobs. How do I say in my cover letter? I am interested in …work? or I am interested in a …. position?

You may express your desire to work for XYZ organization in the XYZ position. Tell the hiring manager why you are the right choice for that particular job, your achievements in brief, your education and skills related to the job you are applying for, it should work, good luck.
