Can you resume unemployment if you leave a job in its 90 day probationary period?

Before accepting my current position, I was receiving unemployment. I was told by the hiring manager that commission would be a large percentage of my weekly paycheck. After accepting the position I found out that I had to split this commission with 3 other people, which was not disclosed to me at that time. With the above scenario, could this be an acceptable reason to resume unemployment benefits until I found another job?

The answer is dependent on what you signed when you were hired and if it discloses that the commission is team based. It also depends on the unemployment laws in the country/province/state you are working in. In most cases, if you leave a job of your own cause it puts your eligibility at risk.

Lastly, just because the commission is team based, does that mean that the commission payout is vastly different, or just the source of the commission? Could the commission be higher as a team in the scenario that you are currently in? Some things to think about.
