What happens if i dont fill out the yellow job search for with my Nj unemployment benefits?

They said i would still get money i would just have to pay it back how true is this?

    You are required to be actively seeking employment to be eligible for unemployment benefits. You have to prove that by listing your job search efforts and submitting that either as part of your claim or upon request. If you fail to do so, you are not eligible for benefits for the respective claim period and will NOT receive any benefits. It’s also possible that your entire claim could be denied going back to the beginning which would force you to have to repay ALL of the benefits that you’ve received to date if they suspect that you’ve been “gaming” the system and not actually seeking full-time employment.
