Learn HOW TO WRITE A RESUME : HOW TO WRITE A COVER LETTER : HOW TO LAND A JOB
first time resume help, please?

This is my first attempt ever to apply for a job and I’m planning on applying as a cashier at Apple. I’m 17 and Apple requires a resume.

I looked at some samples on Google but they didn’t help me much. So I was wondering if you guys can give me some ideas to write a good first resume. Help please?

Well, first write personal information ( e-mail address and telephone number). Second, write about experience and all the education you’ve got. That’s what employers look for.

The resume should begin with your work experience; however since this is a first, put in any volunterring you have done. As a student, putting in the activities you were in(clubs, teams, etc) is also helpful. Next, education inforamtion is necessary. Putting in what your major focus has been; eg, business or college prep. List any foreign languages you can use. Use teachers, coaches and adult friends for references; include addresses and contact numbers for each.
On top of the resume pages there should be a cover letter. This is where you sell yourself. Make it clear that you are really interested in procuring a postition there and what you think you woul bring to them as a team member. Read it over and ask yourself if you would hire yourself!!
    Good luck.
