There is no such thing as an &quot;employment background check&quot;.
Your employers are listed only on your social security account, and no one can see that except you.

A potential employer can call employers that you list on your application to verify that you worked there.
They can do a credit check and a criminal background check.

That&#039;s all.

That being said if it comes out later (and I don&#039;t know how unless you get drunk at a company party and blab how you got one over on HR) they could terminate you for not being truthful on your application.

Applying for a police department or government agency that requires a thorough background check is a different story.</description>
