You can clerk as a paralegal (kind of like how law students "clerk" during school) but you obviously won't be paid as much as a paralegal witih experience is paid. You should also see if you can find a firm that's willing to train you - sometimes you may need to start as a secretary / paralegal trainee (and not get paid as much as someone with experience) but at least you'll get the experience.
